Delighted to share the news that I’ve been awarded an Alan James Bursary by the English Folk Dance and Song Society to support some research on the Middle East and North Africa in English traditional song. I’m honoured to be among such inspirational artists. Looking forward to this a lot!
Barbary pirates will be on the menu of course, but I’ll be digging deeper, hopefully unearthing some lesser-known treasures and thinking about what they mean for us right now. Musical results further down the line so stay tuned!
